The ELIXR project and UDL cases were featured through presentations by both the EnACT and ELIXR projects. Presenting for ELIXR were Tom Carey (University of Waterloo), Jeannie Cheng (San Francisco State University), Brett Christie (Sonoma State University), Wai Mei Fang (San Jose State University), and Tasha Souza (Humboldt State University). Presenting for EnACT were Brett Christie (SSU) and Beez Schell (SUNY Fredonia). Brett Christie will be giving a preconference seminar titled “Beyond Policy and Into Practice: Accessibility and the University Mission” at the Educause National Conference, Orlando, October 28th. This seminar presents ideas for taking the law (e.g., Section 508), developing realistic policy, and supporting best practice. Faculty development efforts, such as the ELIXR UDL Theme case stories will be shared.
